From a young age, I was captivated by the beauty of handwriting. Some people had a gift for crafting clean, precise lines, while others wrote in elegant cursive that felt like it carried years of practice. Inspired, I set out to refine my own handwriting—though my patience didn’t always match my ambition, especially when scribbling notes in class. Little did I know, that early fascination would grow into a lifelong passion.

I began practicing calligraphy in 2016, and by 2018 I launched S.F. Letter Designs. Through commissioned projects—personalized signs, gifts, and special event details—I had the privilege of creating meaningful art while connecting with wonderful clients and gaining invaluable experience. My guiding principle was always to “let the words speak for themselves,” blending beauty and meaning into every piece.

As time went on, my creative expression expanded into what’s often called “Zen Art” or “Zentangle”—what I affectionately describe as Organized Chaos. What began as a simple pastime soon revealed itself as something more: my love for calligraphy wasn’t just about writing, but about transforming words and lines into art. This realization inspired me to rebrand and embrace a broader range of creative offerings.

Today, I offer calligraphy/engraving for private events and design abstract fine line art prints that bring character and elegance to homes and offices. Whether through meaningful words or intricate designs, my mission is to infuse beauty, intention, and artistry into everything I create.

"Often when I write I am trying to make words do the work of line and color. I have the painter's sensitivity to light. Much ... of my writing is verbal painting."
